Salmon is still not there, but there are brown trout !!! Today I caught more than 30 brown trout and one sea trout. The biggest brown trout of 45 cm. I lost a beautiful brown trout approx. 60 cm. It was a day of trout. Trout attacked 5 cm Salmo Minnow.

Very cold and windy week, two nice Bass and sea trout - 29.04.2016
Very cold, northern, and eastern wind. Rain and hailstorm. Big waves on the northern part of the peninsula.
But two nice Bass (over 60 cm) and sea trout I caught. Gannets increasingly active. Good sign!

National Bass Programme: today I caught Bass that was tagged in the Shannon Estuary! - 12.04.2016
This morning I caught at Smerwick Harbour Sea Bass with tag No. 01088.
That fish was tagged by Aidan O Sullivan on 24/8/15 in the Shannon Estuary. It travelled 69 kms. At liberty for 232 days !

National Bass Programme: Bass Tagged by me, caught again !!!! 03.04.2016

Good news!!!! One of my fish was recaptured this evening at Fermoyle Beach. B-1042 was tagged by me on 29/10/15 at Dingle Harbour and was recaptured 3/4/16 at Fermoyle Beach which is and it is approximately 57kms from Dingle to Fermoyle Beach by water.. The fish was at liberty for 157 days.

More tagged Sea Bass on Dingle Peninsula - 30.03.2016
One early morning, I lost the second.
In the afternoon
The largest - skinny 63 cm (2 kg)
A total of three in the afternoon. Big waves, plenty of weeds, milky water, but it was not to bad.
This could be the best ever start to the season.

Sea Bass were everywhere !!! - 23-24.03.2016
Two great spring sessions. On Wednesday I caught 20 (!!!) Sea Bass! 7 was tagged. Several fish than 2 kg, most of 1.5-2 kg.
On Thursday, it was worse. Only four Bass about 1,5-2 kg. Three tagged.

Everywhere garfish, I caught two.
Finally on Saturday 8 Sea Bass, 7 tagged. All the on new Salmo sea lure.

Small Bass and Star Wars - 10.03.2016
Today, I lost a big fish. Bass broke hook...I caught only one small Sea Bass.
Near the my spot for the big pollack and Bass, they are preparing for the filming of Star Wars !!! Sybil Point will be very famous!
